IMTA Pre-College Piano Auditions at Coe College

Students performed from memory a minimum of three pieces from the following categories: Baroque, Classical or Romantic, and Impressionistic or Contemporary. Students also completed a written and aural theory exam. It was great to perform in-person again!

Congratulations James and Sophia! - James and Sophia put in long hours preparing their programs for their first live auditions. James performed in Level C and played La Florentine by Francois Couperin, Allegro Scherzando by Joseph Haydn, Fairy Tale by Dmitry Kabalevsky, and Seven of Hearts by Kevin Olson. Sophia performed in Level B and played March in D Major by Dennis Alexander, English Woods by Jon George, and From a Lighthouse Window by Edna Mae Burnam. James made the Theory Honor Roll and received a I rating, and Sophia received Honorable Mention in her level. Congratulations on all your hard work! Bravo!
